Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Ivory Lane website at ivorylane.co and the Ivory Lane wedding planner application at app.ivorylane.co (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Ivory Lane ("we", "us", "our").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

2. Accounts

To access the wedding planner application, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.

You may invite one partner to share access to your wedding planner. Both account holders are bound by these Terms.

3. Free Trial

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card is required to start the trial. At the end of the trial period, you must subscribe to a paid plan to continue using the Service.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

• Plans: Monthly ($5.99 USD/month) and Yearly ($49 USD/year).
• Billing: Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis (monthly or annually). Payments are processed securely through Stripe.
• Currency: Prices are in USD. Local currency equivalents are shown at checkout where applicable.
• Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the end of the current billing period.
• Price changes: We may adjust pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers are not affected until their next renewal.

5. Cancellation

• You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings.
• Upon cancellation, you retain access to the Service until the end of your current billing period.
• No refunds are issued for unused time. The 14-day free trial allows you to fully evaluate the Service before committing to a paid plan.

6. Data and Content

• Your data: You retain ownership of all wedding planning data you enter into the Service (budgets, guest lists, vendor details, etc.).
• Data export: You may export your data at any time while your account is active.
• Data retention: Upon cancellation, your data is permanently deleted when your subscription period ends. We recommend exporting your data before cancelling.
• Prohibited content: You may not use the Service to store or transmit illegal, harmful, or offensive content.

7. Free Tools

We offer free wedding planning tools (budget calculator, checklist, timeline builder, date picker, hidden costs calculator, spreadsheet) on our website. These tools are provided as-is and may require an email address to access downloadable content. By providing your email, you consent to receiving wedding planning tips and product updates, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, content, logos, and trademarks, is owned by Ivory Lane and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

You retain ownership of your wedding data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process your data solely to provide the Service.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other accounts or our systems.
• Interfere with the security or performance of the Service.
• Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service.
• Resell or redistribute access to the Service.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ivory Lane shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The Service is a planning tool. We do not guarantee the accuracy of budget estimates, vendor information, or timeline recommendations. Wedding planning decisions are your responsibility.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ivory Lane and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or fail to pay subscription fees. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Victoria, Australia.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
